Description
Designed for indoor environments in 2020, Torii Nest migrates to open-air living spaces, bringing its distinctive design to an entire family of seats. Inspired by Japanese tradition, the collection combines rounded volumes, thin profiles and an apparent formal simplicity with intricate craftsmanship. The painted tubular steel frame of the woven cord backrest, available in Ecru, Dark Brown and Oil Green, features a cane-inspired pattern with a larger mesh that allows light and air to pass through. It rests on a natural teak or Dark Brown mahogany base, supported by painted aluminium legs with a shiny Bronze anti-touch finish.
Torii Nest Outdoor includes fixed and swivel armchairs, a two-seater sofa with a curved silhouette and a round chaise-longue, offering different solutions for functionality and comfort. The enveloping backrest embraces soft cushions resting on a solid teak frame, creating a harmonious dialogue between lightness and materiality. With its compact proportions and refined character, the collection adapts naturally to both metropolitan terraces and Hospitality settings, complementing classic and contemporary environments.
Structure: The backrest features a tubular stainless-steel frame in polished Bronze with an anti-fingerprint finish, covered in woven polypropylene fibre in Ecru, Dark Brown or Oil Green. The seat is available in natural solid teak or, for armchairs and small armchairs, Dark Brown mahogany. Its plywood and high-resilience polyurethane foam structure is upholstered in a water-repellent, non-slip coated fabric for added protection.
Cushions: Seat and backrest cushions in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam and water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre. In order to better protect the padding from water and humidity, all the cushions are upholstered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All the accessories used in production – zippers, thread – are water-repellent and therefore suitable for outdoor use.
Covers: Cushion upholstery is completely removable.
Feet: In extruded aluminium with varnished polished Bronze colour anti-fingerprint finish. The armchairs are available with 360° swivel mechanism (without return), or fixed. Black protective polyethylene glides.
