- Belt “Cord“ Outdoor
Description
The enveloping and comfortable body of the Belt seats designed for indoor use in 2021 also shapes the outdoor version. The band which, in the original design, outlines the silhouette of the volume recalling the shape of a belt, in its outdoor version becomes a corded contour in the colours Sand and Dark Brown, covering the polished Bronze steel frame.
The seats rest on a matt varnished aluminium base, in the shades of Ecru and Dark Brown, reiterating the colours of the cord, and feature padded cushions with extra-durable polyurethane foam inserts, covered in water-repellent fibre and fabric. The Belt Cord Outdoor family is composed of a two-seater sofa, bergère, armchair, footstool, lounge armchair and dining little armchair, all also available with natural finish teak legs. With a more classic feel and a warmer aesthetic, this version can be easily combined with all the other furnishing pieces in the outdoor collection.
Structure: In tubular stainless steel with exterior-grade polyester powder-coated anti-fingerprint finish in polished Bronze colour. The steel structure is upholstered in 8 mm Ø woven Taslan (air-jet weaving and texturisation process) polypropylene fibre. The fibre is available in Sand and Dark Brown colour.
Cushions: Seat and backrest cushions feature high-resilience polyurethane foam combined with viscoelastic chips and Rollo Fill® polyester microspheres for enhanced comfort and thermoregulation. The seat cushion also includes a self-supporting variable-density core. All cushions are protected by water-repellent polyester upholstery, with water-repellent zippers and thread suitable for outdoor use. Seat and backrest cushions are reversible, while the footstool cushion is secured with teak frog closures.
Covers: Cushion upholstery is completely removable.
Base: Available in two versions: extruded aluminium with a matt Ecru or Dark Brown exterior-grade finish, paired with matching fibre and protective polyethylene glides; or solid natural teak (Tectona Grandis – First European Quality), kiln-dried and CNC-machined, assembled with dowel joinery and glue, with adjustable feet and black protective polyethylene glides.

Designer
Rodolfo Dordoni
Minotti’s collaboration with Milanese architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni began in 1997 and continued until his passing in 2023. Over more than two decades, their partnership played a key role in shaping the company’s design identity.
Dordoni presented his first Minotti collection in 1997, including the iconic Suitcase armchair, marking the beginning of a long and successful collaboration. In 1998, he became Art Director, overseeing the development and coordination of the company’s collections. Under his direction, Minotti evolved into a complete lifestyle brand, developing collections for residential, outdoor, and Hospitality spaces. His vision helped establish a distinctive language of Italian craftsmanship, quality, and timeless contemporary design.
