Armchairs

The Yoko seat evolves to become the Yoko Cord Outdoor project by Japanese-Scandinavian duo Inoda+Sveje, composed of an armchair, dining and lounge little armchair, bench footstool - with and without upholstery - and coffee table with top in Basaltina stone, all with a natural teak frame. The seat and backrest are strung with Ecru or Dark Brown polyester cord on which the soft cushions rest. 

The seat and the top of the bench footstool are strung with a balanced weave that gives the natural allure of handcrafted workmanship in line with the classic principles of stringing; a special teak frog feature has been applied in continuity with the finish of the frame to better secure the cushions to the seat and the backrest. A Bronze detail adorns the wooden frame of these furnishing pieces, embellishing them yet maintaining their silent elegance intact: it is a particular joint, located between the frame and the rear vertical legs whose coupling is enhanced by a varnished Bronze colour button.

Structure:The load-bearing structure is made of natural, kiln-dried solid teak (Tectona Grandis – First European Quality), CNC-machined and assembled with dowel joinery and glue. Seats and backrests feature stainless-steel frames with a polished Bronze exterior-grade finish, upholstered in 7 mm flame-retardant polyester fibre in Ecru or Dark Brown, treated for colour fastness. The seat fibre includes a non-deformable Memory filament core, while decorative Bronze stainless-steel screws complete the armrests. 

Cushions: Seat cushion in variable-density polyurethane foam and water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre. Padding for the optional backrest cushion in a blend of viscoelastic chips and Rollo Fill® fibre - polyester microspheres - that provides thermoregulating action for comfort. In order to better protect the padding from water and humidity, all the cushions are encased in water-repellent polyester upholstery. All the accessories - zippers and thread - are waterproof and therefore suitable for outdoor use. The seat cushion and the optional backrest cushion are attached to the structure by teak frogs and are reversible.

Covers: Upholstery for the cushions is completely removable. Adjustable feet and black protective polyethylene glides.

Coffe table Top: in Basaltina stone, 20 mm thick, contoured, fine-grain brushed. The top is then given a stainresistant treatment which does not, however, guarantee total stain protection.

Coffe table Structure: loadbearing, in solid teak (Tectona Grandis - First European Quality), natural finish, kiln-dried. Crafted on CNC machines and assembled with dowel joinery and glue. Adjustable feet and black protective polyethylene glides.
