Armchairs

The elegant, airy lines of the Sendai family of seats, designed by duo Inoda+Sveje, now evolve in their version for open-air spaces. Sendai Cord Outdoor is the result of an upholstered volume, reduced and stylised through the skilful use of cord in the colours Ecru, Burgundy or Dark Brown: a transparent silhouette that allows the eye to catch a glimpse of the object and that, thanks to its light aesthetic, creates a harmonious contrast when combined with bulkier seating systems. The 360° swivel base with return, a mechanism thoroughly tested for outdoor use, reflects the same stylistic principle as the indoor version, but in a natural teak finish.

Structure: In tubular stainless steel with exterior-grade polyester powder-coated, polished Bronze colour with anti-fingerprint finish, upholstered in polyester fibre treated with a flame-retardant additive that also ensures colourfastness to sunlight. The 6 mm cord comes in Ecru, Dark Brown and Burgundy colours. Seat in plywood, high-resilience open-cell polyurethane foam, upholstered in a water-repellent, non-slip coated fabric.

Cushions: Seat cushion in variable-density polyurethane foam and water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre. Backrest cushion upholstery made from a mixture of viscoelastic chips and Rollo Fill® fibre - polyester microspheres - that performs a comfortable thermoregulation action. To provide greater protection from water and moisture for the padding, all the cushions are covered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All the accessories - hinges, yarn - are waterproof and therefore suitable for outdoor use. The seat and backrest cushions are joined by a zipper.

Covers: Seat and backrest cushion upholstery can be completely removed.

Base: In stainless steel, varnished polished Bronze colour with anti-fingerprint finish, with spokes – 12 mm thick – in solid teak with natural finish (Tectona Grandis - First European Quality). The base is available exclusively with 360° swivel movement with return. Bronze colour protective polyethylene glides.
